Yerba Buena (Baliscano for "good herb") is a commune in the Luzamontaña region of Araucaria. Located on the Guadalquivir, it is a Atlántido port and the gateway to the Baliscan capital. In December 2023, Yerba Buena had a population of 1,036,563 is the largest city in the eastern region of Salto Bay, the third most populous city in the Concordia conurbation, and the 11th most populated city in Balisca as a whole. It is considered as a satellite community of Castejón.

The city's name references a number of aromatic plants grown in the area, most of which belong to the mint family. The specific plant species regarded as the namesake is unknown, varying dependent on what species are customarily grown in communal gardens. Since Araucaria's legalization of recreational cannabis use in 1878, the term has been increasingly associated with the cultivation of marijuana and hemp, both of which the city produces in large numbers. Yerba Buena has since developed an influential cannabis culture, and the city declared 4/20 to be a public holiday in 1975, becoming the first Baliscan polity to do so. It is where the Cosmopolitan Church of Cannabis, a confederally recognized new religious movement which uses cannabis as a sacrament, was founded in 2001.

Yerba Buena's territory covers what was once a mosaic of coastal terrace prairie, oak woodland, and coastal scrub or tussock grasslands. Following the Baliscan Civil War, the territory was recognized by the Baliscan government as "Maroon" inline with the Afro Atlantic Charter.

The fertile flatland soils helped it become a prolific agricultural region. In the late 1860s, Yerba Buena became the western terminal of the Alpujarra Railway. Following the 1924 Santa Barbara earthquake, many citizens of surrounding areas moved to Yerba Buena, enlarging the population, increasing its housing stock, and improving its infrastructure.
