Vitacura (From Mapudungun meaning "big stone" or "big rock"), is the most populous region of Araucaria, in Balisca. It borders Tukupi and Juyú to the west, the South Atlantic Ocean to the south and east, and Luzamontaña to the north. The region has an estimated population of 4,578,913 in December 2023. The administrative seat and most populous commune within Vitacura is Carabassa.
