The Throne of Teiko is the English term used to identify the throne of the Prince of Teiko. In an abstract sense, the "Throne of Teiko" also refers metonymically to the prince and to the monarchy itself although the term has been used several times literally. The term also can refer to very specific seating, such as the takamikura throne at Kaijo Imperial Palace. Various other thrones or seats that are used by the prince in an official function, such as in Rakuzan Imperial Palace or the throne used by the Prince in the Royal Council during ceremonies associated with the delivery of his Speech from the Throne, are however not known as "Throne of Teiko".
