• |previous=, |next1= and |next2= may be left blank or omitted, in which case they are displayed as Terminus.
• This template allows the use of two route descriptions, |route1= and |route2=. If both routes should have the same description, |route= may be used instead.
  • If |route= is used in addition to either of |route1= and |route2=, there may be unexpected results: to aid in locating these errors, the page is placed in hidden Category:Incompatible parameters in rail line template.
