Teikonian people (帝光人, Teikojin) are a nation and ethnic group native to the Teikonian archipelag. Worldwide, approximately 40 million people are of Teikonian descent; of these, approximately 38 million are residents of Teiko. People of Teikonian ancestry who live outside Teiko are referred to as the Teikonian disapora. The term ethnic Teikonian may also be used in some contexts to refer to particular ethnic groups, including the Hayato (the dominant ethnic group, comprising over 38.5 million), Ainu, and Ryukyuan people.
