The Teiko Trade and Investment Board also known as TTIB, is an independent agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The agency is tasked to promote the nation's exports and foreign-direct investment. The agency plays a vital role as part of the Alliance Trade Organization and acts as the main arm of promoting the nation's foreign business interests.

The agency traces its roots from Teiko Trade House founded in 1849 which was originally responsible for expanding the country's trade interests in Asia during the Satsuma Period. It was later renamed as Teiko Board of Investments in 1952 and got its current name in 2010. It is currently headed by managing director Arayoshi Hatori, former vice president for marketing and director of the customer experience unit at Yotsuba Financial Group. The main office is located in Aoi, Kaijo but it has satellite offices in Rakuzan, Naha and Akamayu.

It will be connected to the Johto Bypass Road making it accessible from both Ports of Dojimazaki and Rakuzan.

2025 US$1.1 billion A mixed-use project is located at the centre of Akamayu. It it the first of its kind in the city boasting 1,540,000 sqm of real estate land in an area of 420,000 sqm. The project includes 540,000 sqm of residential area, 850,000 sqm of commercial and office area, and 150,000 sqm of schools and other supporting facilities.

Kaijo Midtown Akashi Corporation 2016 US$800 million A 600,000 sq meter (6.145million sq ft) mixed-use development in Shinizaka, Kaijo. Completed in August 2016, project includes office, residential, commercial, hotel, and leisure space.
Kaijo International Financial Center Akashi Corporation 2018 US$3.2 billion A mixed-use development located in Hakata, Kaijo. It consists of three office towers, two residential towers and retail space at Kaijo IFC Mall, occupying a 3.55 hectare site.
