List of Oricon Teiko Hot 100 number-one singles of 2017
The Oricon Teiko Hot 100 is a chart that ranks the best-performing singles in Teiko. Its data, published by Oricon Teiko magazine and compiled by Shiba SoundScan Inc., is based collectively on each single's weekly physical and digital sales, as well as radio airplay and streaming. Oricon Teiko is a subsidiary of Oricon Japan which is based in Tokyo. The weekly charts are updated every Saturday at 12:00 in the noon (UTC +9). The following list, lists all of the number one singles of the Oricon Teiko Hot 100 for 2017.
In 2017, 28 singles have reached number one on Hot 100. This represents the highest number of acts in the chart's history. Of those, only two were collaboration. In total, 30 acts topped the chart either as lead singer or featured artists, with Yang Yo-seob, Hiroomi Tosaka, Afrojack, MeseMoa., XOX, Traffic Light, M!LK, MAG!C☆PRINCE, Bangetu Tei and Kenshi Yonezu - achieving their first Hot 100 number-one single. "Love Cheer" by MeseMoa. was the longest-running number-one of the year, leading the chart for eight weeks. It subsequently also topped the Oricon Teiko Year-End Hot 100.
In December 23, Takahiro Nishijima became the first artist to achieve four number ones ("Double Trouble", "Mada Kimi wa Shiranai MY PRETTIEST GIRL", "Way of Glory" and "The Days") as either solo artists or part of a group. NEWS is also the first group to chart four top one songs ("Emma", "Snow Dance", "Un, deux, trois", "Silent Love"). Other artists or groups to have topped the chart more than once are Kis-My-Ft2 and Bullet Train. Yang Yo-seob's "A Move of God" is the only foreign song to top the chart and the first Korean song to do since 2015. Bangetu Tei's "Shoryu ni Tsukitatsu" is the first indie song to top the chart since 2012.
"Love Cheer" is the debut single of MeseMoa. MeseMoa. is the second band to top the Oricon Teiko Year-End Hot 100 after last year's "Cha-Cha-Cha Champion" by Sexy Zone. Only one female artist managed to top the chart for 2017, DAOKO.
