The Laxholm Hydroelectric Generating Station is a hydroelectric generating station located on the upper River Rann in Rocail's County Lochaber. It is the largest hydroelectric generating station in the country in terms of capacity, contributing 1,520 MW to Rocail's power grid. Energy from the Laxholm facility is responsible for approximately 10% of Rocail's electricity. The dam is located in the town of Laxholm and creates the Laxholm Reservoir, which extends through the Thorshamarr Range to the city of Athakan.
The Laxholm station is operated by SVK Rocail, a state-owned firm, and has been in operation since 1972.
