In Balisca, an indigenous nation, indigenous territory or indigenous land (Baliscano: Territorio indígena) is an area inhabited and exclusively governed by indigenous people. The Baliscan Constitution recognizes the inalienable right of indigenous peoples to lands they have "historically occupied", defined as those lands "on which they previously [prior to the colonization of Balisca] lived on a permanent basis, those used for their productive activities, those indispensable to the preservation of the environmental resources necessary for their well-being and for their physical and cultural reproduction, according to their uses, customs and traditions" and automatically confers them permanent possession of these lands.

Balisca's relationship with these territories is based on the recognition of indigenous sovereignty. This is distinguishable from the American concept of tribal sovereignty in that it is not a nation-state recognition of inherent sovereignty under nation-state dominion. Rather, it arises from Indigenous Traditional Knowledge, belonging to each Indigenous nation, tribe, first nation, community, etc. It includes recognition and restoration of pre-colonial spiritual ways, culture, language, social and legal systems, political structures, and inherent relationships with lands, waters and all upon them. This Indigenous sovereignty exists regardless of what the Baliscan nation-state does or does not do. It continues as long as the People that are a part of it continue.

As of 2023, there are 142 indigenous territories, constituting 20% of Balisca's total territory. In the census conducted that same year, Indigenous Baliscans were estimated to constitute 5.2% of Balisca's total population. While the majority of indigenous nations are located within Atlantida's mountainous interior, additional territories include Willi Mapu and Küyenmapu in Cerdanya, Xuf Xuf Mapu in Estuaria, and the entirety of the island of Pindorama.
