Imborro is a port city in Equatoriale, Formosa. Established in 1984, it is a planned city built around its large deep-water port. The city overlooks the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean.
Imborro was formerly a sub-municipality of the city of Cribi, but was administratively separated from it by the FRELIFO government and designated a planned community. The port and city form the terminus of an export route for cobalt, iron and manganese extracted from mines in the Formosan interior. Prior to the port's establishment, the region was sparsely inhabited, but has grown rapidly since democracy and is considered a fast-growing city within Formosa.
