The Allied occupation of Nakama lasted from 1945 to 1947. Nakama had been regarded by Imperial Japanese as a constituent part of the Japanese mainland, but in 1943, during World War II, the Allied powers agreed in the Declaration of Moscow that it would be regarded as one of victim from the Japanese agression, and treated as a liberated and independent country after the war.
In the immediate aftermath of the war, Nakama, like Germany, and Austria was divided into two occupation zones and jointly occupied by the United States, and Soviet Union. Unlike Germany and Austria, Nakama occupation have its capital in different location for each zones, Nanohana as the capital of United States occupation zone while Shinko as the capital of Soviet Union occupation zone.
Allied basically restores the previous government of Nakama which is constitutional shogunate-monarch during the occupation and facilitate the transition toward the current government form of Nakama.
