The AINVision Zambezi 2021 (Template:Lang-sw) will be the nineteenth semi-annual AINVision Song Contest. It is scheduled to take place in Nacala, Zambezi, following the country's victory at AINVision Balisca 2021 in Sofia, with the song "Suzanna" performed by Sauti Sol. Planning for the event commenced after the winning performance, with the city chosen unanimously by the country's organisers almost immediately. Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, which has hit Zambezi hard in recent months, the event will take place without an audience ("behind closed doors") and will be streamed live. It will be the first time a nation in Africa has hosted the event.

Organised by the Alliance Broadcasting Network (ABN) and host broadcaster Zambezi Broadcasting Company (ZBC), the contest will be held at a yet-to-be-confirmed venue in Nacala and will consist of a performance show in November, with the final results show following a couple weeks later.

Location[edit | edit source]

Nacala downtown from above.

Nacala was almost immediately announced as the host city, being the economic, political and cultural centre of Zambezi, it faced little compeition from other cities. Nacala is the only city in the country that would be a viable host, as it already has existing infrastructure that could accomodate such an event.

Winning venue[edit | edit source]

The Nacala International Convention Centre (NICC).

As Nacala has limited existing space for such events, the Nacala International Convention Centre was selected unopposed by any other facilities. It is the largest undercover event hall in the country, and has a total average theatre capacity of 10,000. The centre is easily accessible from downtown, with several bus routes stopping nearby.
