The 2018 Abashiri Tatebayashi earthquake (網走館林地震, Abashiri Tatebayashi Jishin) was an earthquake measuring 6.4 Mw on the moment magnitude scale that occured in Shiragaki Gulf in northern Tomori Prefecture, Nakama on 17 August 2018, 4:22 a.m. Nakama National Time. The earthquake's epicenter was near Tatebayashi and occurred at a depth of 20.0 kilometres (12.4 mi). The Nakama Meteorology Committee registered a magnitude of 6.4 Mj and a maximum intensity of 7 on the shindo scale.

Shaking from the earthquake was felt strongly in Tomori, Nagarejima and Nukabira. The earthquake disrupted electrical service throughout Ogasawara Island, leaving 4.7 million residents without power. Reports state that at least 28 people died as a result, 1270 injured and at least 12 missing.
