General elections were held in Teiko on 1 July 1904. Voting took place in all constituencies in order to elect all the 75 members of the Royal Council, the unicameral legislature of the country. As the constitution requires the Daijō-kan to resign in the first Royal Council session after a general election, the elections will also lead to a new election for Daijō-daijin in the Royal Council, and the appointment of a new Daijō-kan, although ministers may be re-appointed.
